Story
Woohooo...you made it to my JustGiving page, I'm so glad you're here!
So as some of you may know I have already completed one half marathon (I have the scars to prove it!) in a not so shabby time of 2 hours and 20 minutes. However in a moment of sheer madness I decided that this time just wasn't good enough and that I'd have to go again to see if I could beat it. So in order to see if my little legs will go any quicker I have signed up to take part in the Halifax Half Marathon on July 3rd 2016. Having already run the inaugural Halifax Half I can assure you that this course is anything BUT a standard marathon route; hills, industrial estates, canal paths....utter pain.
Having made the decision to cripple my feet once again I really did not want my second round of suffering to be in vain, so I have made the choice to run the half marathon in aid of the charity that helped my Nana, Trudi Lepic. Very sadly this amazing woman passed away due to stomach cancer, but was helped greatly in her last few months by the cancer charity Marie Curie. I can never fully repay the kindness this charity showed my Nana and the dignity they gave her, but if I can run this race and raise some money for them then at least I will have contributed something! My aim is to try and raise £200 and if I can hit this target then the blisters I am bound to have will all be totally worth it!
I will try to keep you updated with regards my training which might be amusing for you all to read, and I will try include a few photos too! I would be so grateful if you chose to part with your hard earned cash and thank you for any amount of donation you make!
