Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As you may know, I'm raising money for Lifeblood - the thrombosis charity. I have been suffering from a severe blood clot since March 2014. Until then I knew virtually nothing about them, or how frequently they are missed and/or misdiagnosed, with often devastating consequences. This charity is striving to raise awareness of blood clots to improve diagnosis and treatment, and, most importantly, ensure more people survive.
The bulk of my fundraising activity will centre on a charity day at Soccer City, Huddersfield, on Sunday 17th August 2014. Starting at 11am, visitors can enjoy a cake stall, raffle with amazing prizes (including a TV courtesy of Huddersfield-based Ti Installations), nail painting, face painting, games and the no doubt highly competitive 5-a-side tournament that will be running throughout.
Please come along to join in, support the players, enjoy a cake, or just have fun. And if you can't make it, please help me work towards my (admittedly ambitious, and perhaps a little bonkers) goal of £700.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you very much for any donation you are able to make, however large or small. If you'd like any further information about the event, please email me on Katie@ScribaPR.
