Big Green Hike 2023 · 2 April 2023 ·
Two mums. Two babies. Three hills.
We are attempting to complete the Shropshire Three Peaks Challenge - climbing the county’s three highest hills (Brown Clee, Titterstone Clee and Stiperstones) with a total ascent (and descent!) of over 580 metres and a distance of over 13km. Oh and we’ll each be weighed down by our 7 and 8 month old babies and all of the necessary essentials that come with any baby outing!
We both want our children to live in a nature-rich country. We’re all too aware of the wildlife and habitats which thrived in the generations before us but which we have grown up without. We don’t want that trend of biodiversity loss to continue for our children. And so we’re doing the Big Green Hike for Heal Rewilding, a charity which is at the cutting edge of habitat restoration and creation on a landscape scale - giving land back to nature.
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page and reading our stories! We appreciate times are tough so whatever you are able to give is truly appreciated. And if you can’t give anything right now, maybe you can read up about Heal Rewilding's mission and the necessary future of nature conservation in England: www.healrewilding.org.uk
