Event: Great North Run 2022, on 11 September 2022
Our amazing Great North Run team are taking on the world's largest half marathon to raise vital funds to improve diagnosis and treatment, and fund research to find a cure; to empower all those with Crohn's and Colitis to live freer, fuller lives.

Story

I am taking on the Great North Run in September to raise money for
Crohn's & Colitis UK.

A couple of years ago my absolute trooper of a cousin, Jess, was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis, a condition which up until that stage I had never even heard of. Complications for Jess were almost fatal and she stills lives with and hides debilitating symptoms and relies on harsh medications daily, and yet we never hear a single complaint.

Half marathon training isn't proving to be easy, but it is nothing compared to the challenges those with Chron's and Colitis battle everyday.

Crohn's & Colitis UK are the UK's leading charity for Crohn's and Colitis. Right now, an estimated 500,000 people in the UK are living with a lifelong disease that many people have never heard of. I am taking part in the 2022 Great North Run to support Crohn's & Colitis UK, and your donation can help Crohn's & Colitis UK's mission to improve diagnosis and treatment; to fund research and raise awareness.

Any (literally any!!) donations will be greatly appreciated!
