Writing this has been so hard....trying to describe Jemima's impact on me, Emily and so many of us is almost impossible. The best way to describe her is truly amazing! Jemima was incredible! I love her and miss her dearly! One of my best friends who, regardless of all the constant pain and discomfort she was in always had a smile and a hug for everyone! Emily and I would visit and Emily would lie on her bed for cuddles whilst we watched countless Grey's Anatomy episodes! I just wish we'd been given more time to enjoy her friendship and company.
Jemima's wish before she passed away on July 5th 2017 was for her friends and family to support St Luke's Hospice, as they helped her so much!
Therefore in addition to doing the Midnight Walk next year, Emily and I are doing the Kapow on October 1st.
Please support us in doing this and for Jemima, who truly was one of the brightest stars. Love you Mima xXx
Since 1988, St Luke’s has been providing palliative care to local people, supporting them in ways which go beyond the scope and funding of the NHS. Last year we supported over 1,000 local people with a huge range of support from end of life care on our ward to supporting carers, and from helping children cope with grief to helping patients return to work after an illness. We are a charity and provide all our care for free, so we rely on the generosity and commitment of our supporters to raise more than 80% of our costs.
