Story

I have had to sadly postpone my walk up Pen Y Fan due to illness. I have rescheduled my walk for Saturday 15th July 2023.

I only know too well the essential support that centres like Velindre give to people and their families.

My mother passed away due to Bowel Cancer back in 2018. Without the support of her local Cancer centre the world would have seemed a lonely place with no hope or support network. I want to support my local Cancer centre to help raise awareness of the work they do and raise funds to help keep it running.

Velindre, the Hospital of Hope has been providing specialist treatment and supportive care to cancer patients and families for over 65 years.Money raised for Velindre Charity helps fund ground breaking research and clinical trials, cutting edge treatments, specialist nurses, support services, therapies, equipment and so much more which are above those provided by the NHS – so donations really do have a significant impact on patients and their families.Your donation will allow Velindre to continue to provide Hope for the future.
