Story
Most people who know me well know that I am genuinely, yes genuinely petrified of doughnuts (even my children cover up pictures of them in books etc.. I gag at the sight of them, they give palpitations thinking about them, I can’t look at a Krispy Creme stand! ... Yes seriously!) So given these unprecedented times I am going to do something unprecedented to support a charity supporting over 90 projects directly helping vulnerable and disadvantaged children in London during this Covid-19 crisis and beyond... I am going to eat a doughnut. Please sponsor me to do so. (Yes I will film it!) This really is a proper phobia people and an amazing cause so dig deep!
Champions for Children is raising funds to support a London-wide network of local childrens charities to provide support services to vulnerable and disadvantaged children following the end of lockdown measures. Champions for Children will help to prevent the closure of vital projects, and in turn, effectively assist the growing number of already disadvantaged children whose suffering, both physical and mental is exacerbated by the current crisis. Champions for Children directly addresses the need for safe, educational, and engaging activities for children who have suffered from hunger, isolation and a lack of any educatational opportunity during the lockdown due to poverty.
