Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As I am staying in Brighton to work over Christmas (with some of my lovely friends in the same position who are also on board), I have decided to dedicate some of this time to raise awareness to the unfortunate homeless population of Brighton.

Homelessness in Brighton & Hove has more than doubled since 2011 and the City now has the third largest homeless population in the UK. I'm sure those who also live in Brighton can agree that it is upsetting that these figures no longer shock us, as the homeless community is so evident whether it be when we walk to work in the morning or stumble home from a night out.

We will be street collecting this weekend and as it comes up to Christmas, volunteering at shelters to serve warm meals and generally having a little chat to some of these young people who are so much less fortunate than we are. All the money donated on this page will go straight to the increddible Clock Tour Sanctuary charity.

So for those students in Brighton who care for this problem as much as we do, we would love and appreciate just £5 that is left of your student loan (if even that!) or if not a share on facebook! £5 pays for a young person to have a shower, wash their clothes and prepare and eat a hot meal.

And for those who I miss at home, instead of sending a card this Christmas please donate the couple of quid here instead. It is going to a much better cause!

Thank you so much in advance and have a wonderful Christmas
