Story
This year I'm MOVE-ing for PADS to help ensure that we can breed, raise and train more life changing dogs with the full assurance that PADS cares for, loves and matches the dogs to their best fur-ever home possible.
This summer we had the pleasure of having our first Puppy In Training Hayward stay a week with us while his family was travelling. During his visit I was reminded of the immense care, time and heart that goes into each and every match for our Pups. While Hayward didn't choose the life of a Service Dog it is with immense pride that I get to see him fulfill his role as a VIP to the fullest. To see a dog I raised from 8 weeks old confidently walk into life next to his forever human, lending his giant head to catch tears, offering his presence and weight as the perfect "Heavy Dog" to lessen the worry and offering his ever so wonderful derpy-ness to bring joy to even the most chaotic times is something that I will never fully be able to describe.
It will soon be time to see what Winn-Dixie wants to do out of her yellow vest, will she go on to don the coveted blue vest? Will she choose the pet life? Will she join Hayward in the ranks of the splendid VIP dogs? For now she loves her #LifeInTheYellowVest but I'm looking forward to seeing where life takes her.
This year I'll be MOVE-ing in a variety of ways, horse back riding, hikes with Winn-Dixie (and maybe even Hayward), walks around the neighborhood and maybe even a Kayak or two in honor of the variety of roles our PADS Dogs take on when they move out of the Yellow Vest.
Can you help me make it to my goal of 500 dollars?
As we made it to our first goal mere hours after sending out our Story we have increased our goal to $500! Anyone who donates can request either 1. A puppy picture of either dog i've raised or 2 a short video of us MOVE-ing!
