Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Mum & Dad often say I come out with “random” thoughts but I stunned them one night when I told them I had decided to have my hair cut off for charity.
So why would I as a 9 year old girl decide to do this? My cousin underwent an operation for what turned out to be a benign brain tumour nearly 3 years ago now and he has inspired me to make this decision. I asked my Aunty if she had any ideas for which charity to support & she suggested Anna’s Hope.
I want to donate my hair to The Princess Trust, who in turn will use it to make wigs for children undergoing treatment for cancer. Any donations/sponsorship that I receive will go to Anna’s Hope – a local charity inspired by Anna Olivia Hughes who died from a brain tumour aged 3 years and 8 months. Brain tumours are the leading cancer killer of children and young people and the charity aims to fund rehabilitation support in the community and also fund research into a cure.
So the date of the Big Hair Cut is 28th February & I am really looking forward to it.
Any donation/sponsorship you are able to give would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your support.
Katie
