Hi Everyone,

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am raising money for a charity that is close to my heart called Animal SOS. I will be abseiling 100 meters down the side of the Emirates Spinnaker Tower building to help raise funds for this incredible charity who provides a safe haven for those that do not have a voice. For those of you who know me will understand how challenging this task is going to be as I have a huge fear of heights and not over keen on the idea of dangling in the air, however, needs must!

Last summer I visited the beautiful country of Sri Lanka and stumbled across a sanctuary called Animal SOS. From the moment I arrived, I knew I had to help these poor animals and support the incredible work that the team here do and the challenges they face on a daily basis. Animal SOS is currently home to 1100 dogs, 300 cats, and 1 monkey although these figures are increasing day by day due to the estimated 3 million street animals that are left to rot on the streets. The sanctuary provides an on-site veterinary clinic with resident local vets providing life-saving treatment and care all year round. The charity also does a fantastic job at helping to stabilize the stray dog & cat population through the spay/neutering programs that are offered along with adoption programs and animal welfare education to help educate not only tourists but the locals of Sri Lanka.  

All donations will help towards supplies such as food, bedding, medicine, bandages and carts for the disabled dogs. Please check these guys out on their Facebook/Instagram page to see regular updates and the life-saving work that they provide.

The Abseil will take place in April and all money will go directly to the charity.
