Welcome to the Lincoln climbs to Everest Base Camp campaign! These incredible students are taking on the challenge of a lifetime all whilst helping in the fight against meningitis and septicaemia.

Story

In August 2024, I will be taking part in a trek to mount Everest base camp, in aid of Meningitis Research Fund.

Meningitis affects over 2.5 million people per year, with 1 in 4 students affected. The second biggest at-risk group after babies and toddlers.

MRF are working towards a global plan to defeat meningitis by 2030.

With your help from donating whatever you can, we can help MRF get 1 step closer to meeting this extraordinary goal.

Meningitis is deadly; killing and seriously disabling in hours. Small children and young adults are high risk, but all ages can be affected. Globally 1,000 people die daily. We fundraise to invest in research, campaign for vaccines, provide symptom information and support those already affected.
