Thanks for taking the time to visit my page.... For those of you who know me... Running...Jogging etc is not my sport but I feel very strongly about St Lukes Hospice and all the fantastic work they do at their Winsford site and across the Cheshire community.

 

I first came into contact with St Lukes some years ago when tragically my Great Aunt fell ill and very suddenly needed hospice care... as a family we saw how my Aunt who was an ex nursing professional was treated with nothing but up most dignity and passion by the wonderful staff of St Lukes... My Great Aunt sadly passed away on Xmas eve... so at what should be a time of celebration was filled with Grief however the Staff at the Hospice couldn't off been any better.

Fast forward a few years and after taking part in Midnight walk etc my Dear Friend Sarah Bennett nee Robinson who was the life and soul of any party has also been taken away from us far too young at the age of 32. Sarah right up to the end never stopped fighting and always raised funds for St Lukes following the outpatient care she had received from them, we even did the Midnight Walk the day after she had been told the horrible 'C' had returned.  Sarah loved fancy dress and keeping active thus I will be dragging myself around Oulton Park for her and my Great Aunt.

 

Please sponsor me whatever you can... I know it's that time of year where there are presents to be bought and cost spiral out of control... but remember those who are not going to have a great Xmas this year because a loved one is no longer here or is ill.

 

 

Also Sarah will love the idea that I'm doing something in Fancy dress (because I'm not that keen, and I'm Bar Humbug) and who knows I may even do it in a different mode ....heels... space hopper... scooter.. skates.... send in your ideas with donations!!
