Story
We all have our passions and feel strongly about things that make us sad, angry, scared or quite literally useless. For me that is young people's mental heath and wellbeing and ensuring they have somewhere to go to be listened to and feel safe. For that reason I work for and I'm raising money for YMCA East Surrey's Life Change Fund.
Working here I know we can genuinely help the young people around us. I see it every day in the most amazing work that is done.
I'm calling out to everyone I know to help with whatever amount you think you can share (and I know how hard things are for people right now), so that we can help (together) improve the lives of young people in our area. No young person should be lonely, frightened, have nowhere to sleep, food to eat or emotional support.
I'm happy to climb Ben Nevis, as the highest mountain in the UK, knowing I can help and make a difference and I hope you feel you can support. If you can't on this occasion, don't feel bad.
There will be other times. Thank you in advance for reading this. Kathy xx
