Story
I was lucky enough to run and experience the London Marathon last year and should have been running the Loch Ness marathon on October 4th this year. When I saw that the Virtual London Marathon was on the same date I thought that it would be a great way to combine still running a marathon and raising important funds for our wonderful local charity.
During the Covid pandemic I've completed a few 'virtual' events where you gradually add up the mileage over a number of runs. Running a marathon in one go will be a big challenge for me and means I'll need to really increase my training miles over the next few weeks.
If you can donate a few pounds to keep me going during the training and on the day of the marathon, that would be great! Thank you so much!!
The aim of the Cornwall Hospice Care is for all people living with a terminal illness in Cornwall to be able to access the care & support they may need at the time & in the place that is right for them & their families. They aspire to deliver the highest possible quality care & support to our patients & their families. They strive to develop & secure the resources necessary to achieve this, both now & in the future. With only 20% of their funding coming from Cornwall's NHS Commissioners, the rest is raised with the support of the people of Cornwall and beyond - thank you all.
