Story
Helen and I are taking part in the Worthing International Birdman - a 15metre jump- for Retrak, and I'm running the Amsterdam marathon.
Street children in Africa sleep on the busy intersections of roads, they scrounge for food, they are physically and sexually abused, and treated badly even by the police. Young girls are pregnant, and with nowhere to turn. The incredible contrast that this is to my own childhood means that I am determined this must stop. Retrak are working in places where nobody else is, and reuniting children with families, and giving them love, support, and everything they could need.
The pier for the Worthing International Birdman is at least 15metres high and bound to hurt! The Amsterdam marathon is 26.2miles long and also liekly to be fairly painful! Retrak are working in 4 countries in Africa, and believe in a world where no child is forced to live on the street. I do too, and if you do as well, please give generously.
