Asylum seekers have already overcome insurmountable challenges to find sanctuary in the UK, and they face further obstacles that prevent them from continuing to rebuild their lives once they are here. At Sheffield Hallam University, we recognise the determination, aspirations and resilience of asylum-seeking students and their academic abilities and potential to succeed. That's why, alumni, students and staff will be running the Sheffield 10k on Sunday 25th September to raise money for emergency hardship support for students seeking asylum in the UK.
