Bethany's Wish is a Special Named Fund at CCLG raising funds to support research into Wilms' tumours, and in particular high risk, relapsed and refractory Wilms' tumours.

Story

*Update to say Tori has given me permission to put a photo of the gorgeous Wilf on the front page here. He has started losing his hair but is rocking it like the dude he is.

We have been overwhelmed by the kindness and support shown here, it is obvious that Wilf, Caspar, Tori and Tim have a lot of love behind them. Wilf, this one is for you!  👍*

My beautiful friend Tori’s little boy Wilf, aged just 6, has just been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer called Wilm’s tumour. He has already started treatment and will undergo surgery in August with further chemo after that. Tori is strong and positive, resilient and hopeful, and above all an amazing mum. This is going to be a tough year for Tori, Tim, Wilf, and big brother Caspar.

I’d like to help them by raising money to help research into Wilms tumour in the hope that one day a cure might be found.

It just so happens that I have been selected to row along the Thames with Olympian rowers Dani Hansen and James Cracknell from Greenwich to Chiswick. That’s 16.5miles (not km as I first thought - it’s 26 of those!). I have never rowed on water before, and I have less than two weeks to train!

That both these events happened in the same week, it seems like fate that I should double my efforts to raise money and awareness for Wilf and his family. All donations, large and small, very gratefully received.
