Story
The Yorkshire Three Peaks route is 24 miles (38.6km) and includes 1585m (5200ft) of ascent. The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, usually in this order and the challenge is to complete the task in under 12 hours. These peaks form part of the Pennine range, and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Patrick and Kathryn are going to complete the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge on Saturday 15 June 2019 for the St George Foundation charity. Patrick is a trustee of the charity and spent 6 months in Sierra Leone working with DfID and the MoD to defeat the Ebola crisis in 2015.
During his time in Sierra Leone Patrick was introduced the St George Foundation centre in Grafton, Freetown and spent much of his free time helping and supporting the charity’s work whilst working on the Ebola crisis.
This is a great opportunity to remind your friends and family of St George Foundation’s great work in supporting and providing safe sanctuary for vulnerable orphaned
children in Sierra Leone. So please give generously and encourage as many people as possible to donate anything – small or large to this event and help the kids that really need the support, safety, education, medicine and the family that St George Foundation provides in Sierra Leone for orphaned children.
