Having only just recovered from the aches & pains of last year's marathon,  I have decided to run again.  On the 25th April  2010 I will be running the Virgin London Marathon as part of the Mencap team.  When Mencap offered me a place I was delighted to accept, despite knowing only too well the tough training needed just to make it to the start line. 

Mencap is a wonderful charity that provides specialist services that enable people with learning disabilities to develop the skills they need to lead fulfilling lives.    Every pound I raise helps to fund the hard work Mencap does to support people with learning disabilities to live life as they choose.  Their work includes providing flexible housing, jobs, education and personal support allowing people to live as independently as possible.  Do take a look at their website to understand more about the good work they do.
