Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Kathryn and I have been friends since the age of 4, growing up in Newcastle upon Tyne. We have shared lots of fun times & experiences together over the years & Kathryn's marriage to a Dixon means that we now share the same name too. Inspired by many we have decided that before we turn 40 it's time to share the fantastic feeling of achievement that people clearly get when they successfully complete the Great North Run and to hopefully raise lots of money along the way. We will be running for the Alzheimer's Society, in memory of Kathryn's mum Norma who died of the illness.

We are training hard...I was never renowned for my athletic ability but am pounding the streets of London and loving it whilst Kathryn, a county hurdler at school is up in Newcastle getting into shape.

If you would like to support us by giving a donation, however small (or just by sending some encouraging messages to keep us motivated) we would be very grateful. Running for such an important cause will give us both the incentive we need to keep on training through the aches and pains.

Thank you

Kathryn & Kathryn
