Story
Thank you for considering sponsoring us for an abseil down the side of St Thomas' Hospital, where we both work!
We are colleagues/pals/Yorkshire lasses who both thought about doing this abseil and decided it would be a good idea to do so together, raising funds for Guy's Cancer Charity.
Guy's Cancer Charity is everyone's cancer charity. They provide support for people living with cancer and their loved ones; through moments of fear, pain, sickness and exhaustion. Hope, celebration and loss.
Funds raised for Guy's Cancer Charity also help to kick-start dynamic projects and initiatives, some of which include: an app to speed up referrals, investing in advanced robotic technology that enables surgeons to perform more targeted operations and supporting the head and neck cancer team at Guy's, as they develop a pioneering new head and neck cancer centre.
More information about the work of Guy's Cancer Charity can be found on their website: https://guyscancercharity.org.uk/about-us/what-we-do
Many of our friends and loved ones have sadly been diagnosed with cancer in recent times, and we really hope to support patients and help further research and innovations in care through the funds we raise. We have paid our own entry to do this event and have a fundraising target of £600.
