Story
When I first started out running again in 2019 after a 10 year break I raised money for the Hospice in the Weald at the 10k Hospice run in Tunbridge Wells as the charity helped close family members cope with terminal illness.
Last year I ran my first half marathon, which should’ve been in London but as covid and lockdown had just struck, I had to change plans and run it here in Crowborough.
Aunty Francoise was still with us and I ran pass her house at mile 12 and we waved through the window (see cover photo), which gave me another push to finish uphill to the final mile 13.1.
Earlier this year aunty Francoise left us for a better place, one without pain and suffering.
On 1st August (yes that’s in 2 sleeps as my kids would say) I will run the real thing, London Landmarks half marathon.
The hospice has helped aunty Francoise’s close family during a very difficult time and I wish to continue raising money for this amazing charity that helps so many people in the Wealden area. If you can spare a few pennies or pounds, please help me reach my target so the hospice can continue with the amazing work they do..
