Story
Hi Everyone,
I'm off to Sri Lanka in January to spend three months working with schools and teaching English. The money I'm raising pays for my insurance, food and accommodation while I'm away as well as a small amount of admin stuff here and in Sri Lanka itself.
VESL works with the Education Department of the Sri Lankan Government to post volunteers in places where we will be very useful and really wanted.
In a country ravaged by war and natural disaster, there are children whose futures can be dramatically improved if they have access to education and employment. A good working knowledge of English can help with both of these. This is where I come in. I'm off to share my passion for learning (and for the English language) with some people who will really benefit from my help.
