We support girls at school in Malawi to improve their chances in life
Story
The Mamie Martin Fund (MMF) supports girls' secondary education in North Malawi. Girls are less likely to go to secondary school than boys and are more likely to drop out before they have completed all four years. The MMF pays school fees and provides for other necessities like soap, notebooks and sanitary pads. The MMF work is managed locally by Mercy Siibande, who lives in Mzuzu.

We work with partners in North Malawi to support girls at 8 secondary schools. We pay the fees of these girls along with providing additional help to the most needy so that they can benefit from their school place. We've been working there since 1993, taking forward the vision of Mamie Martin.
