I am taking part in the Great North Run to raise funds for the City Hospitals Sunderland 'Chest Clinic' charity.

Having watched a close colleague struggle with a deteriorating lung condition and come into work everyday for as long as he could with the help and support of the team at the chest clinic, his focus and determination inspired me to do some fundraising!

To say I'm unfit would be an understatement but I will do what I can to finish, even if it is a long walk!
