On the 21st June 2015, on what would have been Dad's 74th birthday, I am taking part in the Trail 26 Helvellyn half marathon. I am terrified of heights so tackling Swirral Edge is a daunting prospect to say the least! Two weeks prior to this event I am running in the Lakeland Trails Marathon and this isn't scaring me half as much as the thought of the half marathon over Helvellyn!

*UPDATE** Unfortunately, due to access issues, the Trail 26 Helvellyn half has been postponed until next year :(

But......., I have just signed up for the Great Langdale marathon, which is on the 12th September!! Two marathons in one year....So, please, help me raise funds for the Alzheimer's Society. 

I'm raising money for the Alzheimer's Society to raise awareness of this devastating disease which robbed us of a very special man way too early. I know that raising money will help keep me focussed and make me face my fear!
