Story
On what will be the 3rd anniversary of my brother's funeral I shall be running 10k to raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK. Stephen died from kidney cancer on May 1st 2009 leaving mum, dad, Liz, Charlotte and I devastated. He was 38 years old. He was diagnosed with an unusual form of cancer which did not respond to chemotherapy. There is still much research to be done to help find a treatment for this terrible disease which took my lovely brother.
In 2009 I couldn't run anywhere. But with the help of my friends Tom McCann from Medlock Leisure Centre and Pete O'Hare from Learn 2 Run in Stalybridge, I shall be ready for this challenge.
I hope to raise as much money as possible to prevent families from going through the heartache we have all felt. Any donations given in Stephen's memory will be greatly appreciated.
