This picture is of my Mum, Pam, on her birthday this year. She has been diagnosed with Alzheimers for quite a few years now. it has been the hardest thing our family has ever had to deal with. Watching someone you love deteriorate infront of your eyes.

Mum is in a safe place now, a lovely home that can care for her and keep her on an even level. She laughs, talks jibber jabber and sings (she has never sung in her life) and is oblivious to everything. She makes us all smile!

When we visit her, she knows we are important but she does not quite know why or how. She still gives the best cuddles in the world and will stroke your hair, just how mum's should.

It is for Pam that I shall be running my butt off in October. And I hope that you can give just a little to such a worthy cause.
