Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
I will be trekking from Lukla in Nepal to Everest Base Camp (and hopefully back again!) from 10th April - 3rd May 2009, to participate in research into the effects of altitude and hypoxia (low oxygen levels) on the human body. My own specialty of Anaesthetics and Intensive Care probably stands to benefit most from this research, for a multitude of different patients - from premature babies with under-developed lungs, to elderly people with lung disease, and critically ill patients on High Dependency & Intensive Care units.
I need to raise a minimum of £2000 (in addition to funding the cost of the trip myself) towards this research - no mean feat as I'm sure you can imagine.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Caudwell Xtreme Everest, via University College London Hospitals Charitable Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
Thank you, and best wishes,
Katherine.
