Story
As some of you know, my mum has Alzheimers. She was diagnosed about 2 years ago when she was 75. It is such a cruel and heartbreaking illness, and devastating to watch someone you love struggle with everyday routines, tasks and activities alongside their loss of memory and understanding of the people and the world around them. Jacob and I will be running the Great South Run to raise money for Alzheimer's Society. It's a challenge for both of us, and a distance I haven't run for a very long time, but it's nothing in comparison to those whose lives are affected by dementia. We would be very grateful for any donations, however small.
Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
