Well the sun was shining and yes I did it in 29.31 mins, so I am a very happy lady and also a proud Mummy as Florrie decided to run the childs 2k and completed it - bless her.

It is sad to say that no doubt we have all been or loved someone who has been affected by Cancer and its impact. As you know I have lost my Grandad Nap, my Nan Elsie, a work colleague David and only last year Father John to Bowel Cancer.

Two of the boys at Florrie and Isla's school lost their Dad to bowel cancer two years ago and now every year they organise this event at the school as a way of remembering their Dad, Barry.

I am running the 5k and Ben, Florrie and Isla are walking the 2k. Last year we all walked the 2k and I told myself that next year I would run the 5k - and here we are!

I look forward to telling you the good news that i crossed the finish line and no doubt Ben will provide some photographic evidence!
