Story
I have been pondering running a marathon for years, but I have always talked myself out of it. The training seemed too hard, the challenge too much. But you only get one shot at this life, and the time feels right.
As well as this being a personal challenge, I’m hoping to raise lots of money for Epilepsy Action.
The world lost a very special person last year. Sandi Stratfull- Innes, the daughter of my good friend, and colleague Shelley, died in her sleep aged 27. Sandi was brave, beautiful, kind and funny (and I told her so). She loved hard, and enjoyed travelling to new places, having adventures, and spending time with her family and friends. Sandi was one of a kind, and she is missed by so many.
Epilepsy Action was a charity that Sandi supported, so it feels right to pick this one to fundraise for. Any money raised will raise awareness, and improve the lives of those living with Epilepsy. Sandi had to be brave every day, I only have to be brave for 26.2 miles. This one is for you Sandi ❤️.
