We provide expert care and support to young people with cancer

Story

I am running the London 10k in July in support of the Teenage Cancer Trust. I am supporting this cause in memory of Corrie-Ann Young.

The trust do an amazing job in supporting the families of young people with cancer in a variety of ways from ensuring teenagers have their own wards in hospitals to taking part in activities and having opportunities to do things they usually wouldn’t.

Corrie was an amazing young woman and died in August 2009, 6 weeks after her 22nd birthday and wedding to her university sweetheart, Matt.

Corrie was first diagnosed with a rare form of cancer when she was 11 and over the next decade was re-diagnosed, treated, lost her hair and went into remission 3 times.
She was diagnosed as terminal in October 2008 and spent her final 10 months living her life to the full. Corrie was an exceptional person, always positive, always a fighter and a true inspiration.
