Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Firstly I can't believe that I am doing this. Although it's something I have thought about doing for a few years and like many others have watched the Marathon on TV since I can remember, I have never had the guts to actually sign up. I would say since having my children I have become more of a runner but nothing more than 10k's here and there but this year it just felt right and I feel ready to do one of the biggest challenges of my life!!
As this will be such a massive experience for me I wanted to do my marathon in aid of Farleigh Hospice who provided unbelievable care for one of my most loved friends
In April 2012 we lost one of the most beautiful, kind, loving and fun friend you could ever meet. Not only was she my friend but she really was an incredible mummy and doting sister/daughter. She was one of these people in life that if you knew her u were so lucky, everyday she would do something that just made u feel special.
Throughout the time of Suzys cancer I know I can say that hand on my heart Farleigh were fantastic,in the way they looked after her and all of Suzys family and friends. They really did try to make each day the best they could, and give her the best environment she truly deserved. The nurses were all so lovely and smiley and knew what it was that would make Suzy and her family that little bit more happy.
Over last year Farleigh cared for over 9,391 people the cost for this led to an expenditure of £5,257,838.
With farleigh relying on 55% of these cost to come from support of donations, fundraising, gifts of good will. I feel if I can raise as much money as possible to help this amazing hospice the pain, slog of training the broken toenails and much much more will be so worth it.
So please if you can support this brilliant charity and help give me even more motivation I would appreciate it so much.
Many many thanks
