I'm raising funds for my son's school, Malorees, in Kilburn.

Like all state schools, Malorees is chronically underfunded and relies on money raised by parents and friends to ensure that all students can access school trips and extracurricular lessons, and to pay for 'luxuries' like books, art supplies and sports equipment. This year, we are trying to extend the lease on the school minibus which enables the Year 4 children to attend swimming lessons, and all students to compete in sports matches.

This is my second triathlon and I have a love/ hate relationship with both the training and the event. I'm hoping that I'll raise enough money to make the early morning starts, cold water swimming and running in the rain all worth something!
