Story
Help Marie Curie Nurses care for more terminally ill people and their families.
I'm taking part in Walk Ten 2013 at Dalkeith Country Estate to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
4 years ago to the date of this walk my dad lost his battle against prostrate cancer. He was looked after in the Edinburgh Marie Curie Hospice 4 the last 3 weeks of his life. He was given the best and very heartfelt care by all members of the Marie Curie staff. Along with my dads care, our whole family were supported and guided through these 3 heartbreaking weeks as we began to realise and finally accept that our amazing, wonderful, kind, caring perfect dad was leaving us. I love and miss my dad so so much it hurts. I know that everyone who knew him would agree that he was one of the most gentlest men and a very gentle gentleman. He would be so proud of his family in their support of the Marie Curie Nurses, who cared for him, in their continuing quest to support people in need of their palliative care.
Please sponsor me and help Marie Curie Nurses provide free care to more people with terminal cancer and other illnesses in their own homes or in one of their hospices across the UK.
£20 provides 1 hour of Marie Curie nursing care, but whatever you can give will help terminally ill people and their families when they need it most.
Thank you for your support. Kay
