Story
Toilet Twinning is helping to transform lives in some of the poorest places on the planet. Vulnerable households will: learn about the importance of sanitation and hygiene; build their own loo; gain access to clean water; enjoy better health - and take a massive step out of generational poverty.
The aim is to twin at least 20 toilets in Glossop so that Glossop can qualify as a "Toilet Twinned Town". Glossop has already twinned a number of toilets to help us meet this target.
Please also join us on World Toilet Day (19 November) for:
The Big Squat in Norfolk Square, Family Toilet-themed Activities at Glossop Labour Club and Soggy Bottom Cakes. (Further details will be available on this website)
Each £60 raised will result in a new toilet being provided where it is needed. Each twinned toilet will be provided with a certificate confirming its twinned status which will include a photograph and GPS coordinates of the new toilet it is twinned with.
A number of Churches, Schools, Businesses and Community organisations in Glossop are raising funds to twin their toilet (See the list below which will added to over the next few weeks). If you want to support one of these groups, please identify the group in the notes box when you make your donation on this site (please remember to check the box so we can see your comments so we can allocate the funds - we will not use your data for anything else !). This is on the understanding that any surplus funds identified for the twinning of a particular toilet will be transferred to another toilet.
