Hello everyone, my name is Katherine.

On 12th October I'm taking part in the Great Eastern Run half marathon. I've chosen to take part in this event to raise money for Leicester Hospital's Charity, as an old primary school friend of mine called Bobby Riddell is being treated there after suffering with kidney failure, and has undergone a kidney transplant from his mother on 20th March, who are both recovering well.

I've decided to raise money to help the hospital continue with their amazing work, as I've been inspired with how strong Bobby, his family and everyone who is close to him have been throughout this time have been. I would now like to do my own bit by raising as much money as I can to ensure that the hospital can treat and support as many patients and their families as Leicester General has over the last few months.
