Story
This year I've decided to take 3 months off work to try and fulfill a dream of walking all the way from Land's End in Cornwall to John o' Groats at the tip of North East Scotland. In total this walk will be about 1,200 miles long, a good 1000 miles further than any trail I've walked before!
The aim of this walk is to raise funds for Crohn's and Colitis UK (CCUK).
As some of you will be aware I have suffered from Crohn's Disease since the age of 16. I am incredibly lucky that currently my illness is kept under control with a variety of drugs (in fact I’ll be making sure this route goes via Bristol Royal Infirmary so I can get my 8 weekly infusion)! However there have been times when I couldn't walk around the block, let alone the length of the country!
It is thanks to the research and campaigning by organisations such as CCUK that I'm currently in a situation to even contemplate this walk.Their aim is to improve lives right now and, ultimately, to find a cure. But they can't do this without your help. Almost every penny they invest in research comes from membership, donations and fundraising by people like you.
