Story
Thank you for visiting my page!
My friend is doing 25 push-ups for 25 days challenge to raise awareness for PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), anxiety and depression that drive people to commit suicide.
I've also just become a moderator at HertsChalkWalk - chalking pavement art to keep spirits up. So I thought I'd combine the two and raise money and awareness for mental health - if you see a chalking and it makes you happy - please donate!
During lockdown I've planked everyday for 3 minutes, so when I saw this challenge I thought it would be achievable... until I tried it, it looked more like a wobbly, slow motion breakdance worm move than a press-up.
It turns out I can't even do a single press-up!
So my challenge will start with press-ups on a gradient and I'll hopefully build up to proper ones by the end of the 25 days.
You could take part too!
*Everyday you record yourself doing 25 push-ups even if you have to drop to your knees to get 25
*Every day you must nominate a different person
1 in 4 people are dealing with a mental health problem every year, and 1 in 25 have a serious mental illness. During lockdown, most of us have experienced a higher level of anxiety than normal, and you may know someone whose really struggled. That is why I am choosing to support Mind in Mid Herts with their "Don't Sleep on Your Mental Health Campaign" to support them to raise awareness and to enable them to support more people in Hertfordshire who are in need of their help.
