I don't have a heart string pulling story as to why I am doing this but with 1 in 8 women diagnosed with breast cancer at some point in their life it is the most common for of cancer in the UK. We all know someone that it has affected, for me in was my Mum and we are fortunate that it was caught and treated early. This isn't the case for the 12,000 women who die each year from it. HOWEVER,  Breast Cancer Now are the first cancer supporting charity to put a date in their mission statement: by 2050 all women who suffer from the disease will live. But this takes money to support the research!
