After years of running only as far as the bus stop, I am aiming to run The British London 10k to support the activities of HeadSmart and The Brain Tumour Charity, who together are working hard to raise awareness of brain tumours in children and young people, and the importance of early diagnosis. 

Brain tumours are the UK's biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40, yet less than 2% of cancer funding is spent on brain tumours. Headsmart are working to get symptoms cards into every school, in an effort to ensure earlier diagnosis better outcomes.
