Story
I’m running my first half marathon in memory of my incredible friend Carys who died from bowel cancer aged 42 in July 2021.
Carys was a keen runner, ate healthily, walked loads and loved to dance! A cancer diagnosis came out of the blue. Carys did so much in the 12 months following her diagnosis to raise awareness of bowel cancer and shared her experience to help others. She was bloody ace.
Carys had so much life to live. I hope to raise awareness and money to fund vital research into early diagnosis and better treatments to save more lives.
