Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am supporting the Stroke Association for my cycle challange because my mother, father and sister have been stroke victims. Rapid medical intervention enabled my sister to survive.  The care my sister  recieved afterwards helped her to slowly  get back to normal life.  The Stroke Association supports victims and their families, as well as research into the cause of a stroke, which is important to me.

I have been doing a lot of training for the cycle, including an almost weekly cycle around the Isle of Wight! The ride will average 88 miles a day over eleven and a half days. Tough. I am not sure I am totally up to it.  There will be a support vehicle travelling with us, I would like  not to spend all the  time in it! The trip is arranged through a company called Discover Adventure, accomodation, food etc is provided, I just have to cycle

Good news! I completed my challange, didn't spend any time in the van, didn't walk up any hills and even cycled extra miles through getting lost. Cycled over 1000 miles.

The biggest challanges were the main roads, dual carraige ways and being saddle sore.

All on the trip were raising money for charity, it was great to be part of the adventure.
