Story
Ben has recently found out that he has juvenile macular degeneration and is losing his central vision. This was devastating news. The RNIB have allowed him a sense of normality and continued independence in the classroom through the use of the RNIB bookshare which means he can access the same books as his peers but in the correct format. Ben loves reading and so this has been really important for him. He also loves running so we thought we would give this a go...not sure how he will do being tethered to me as I'm pretty clumsy! Anything you can donate is appreciated.
Every day, 250 people in the UK start losing their sight. Too many still face isolation and depression, unable to achieve their potential in a world that blocks their way. RNIB wont stop until every last psychological and physical barrier has gone for good. With your help, RNIB can be there when people need them most, support independent living, create an inclusive society and prevent avoidable sight loss. Every pound you donate is helping create a future where sight loss is no longer a barrier.
