Hello everyone!! Me and my dad will be taking part in the Leeds half marathon this year, on May 10th. I’ve never done anything like this before, so it’ll be a challenge but I’m very excited?! I’ll be raising money for a small charity called Post pals. 

Post Pals is run solely by volunteers who are dedicated to making seriously ill children and their siblings smile through the sending of cards, letters, little gifts, support and friendship. Post Pals is raising money to take families GLAMPING! For a themed experience inside a theme park. Every family invited either has a seriously ill child or has had a child pass away. Lots of the families they support spend large amounts of time split up due to one child being in hospital with a parent and the other back home, so they want to give them a chance to create precious memories together. It's a chance for isolated children and their families to make friends, to be around others going through similar things, & most importantly, to create precious family memories together!!. 

The charity has supported my sister Rachel by helping her through the difficult times in her life by sending her happy post and gifts to make her smile. Making her feel valued. While also giving her the opportunity to attend these trips, mixing with others which helps her feel less isolated as she hasn’t been well enough to attend school in 3 years.
