Update 2 July: 

For some reason my lovely friend Sarah Espiner and I are hurling ourselves out of a plane on August 21 (tandem, strapped to a strapping man we hope). Sarah quite fantastically is doing her jump for my Brazil fund too.

On 27th September 2009 I will once again be travelling to Brazil for an eleven day trip, to renovate a dilapidated school and a football pitch in partnership with the local population.

The project will take place in one of the poorest and most remote villages and will give the children and their parents the chance to continue their education in their own village, close to their families, rather than being obliged to move away. 

The money you give here will not only go towards the project but will also raise vital funds for the bowel cancer research. Tragically bowel cancer is the second highest cause of cancer death, with over 44 people dying of the disease every day in the UK.

This is going to be no holiday - with no electricity, no hair straighteners, no home comforts... just hard core manual labour in the great outdoors - see the video opposite!
