RBLI's Tommy 10,000 Step Challenge is a virtual event where you will walk in the steps of the veterans of old to support the veterans of today and discover the forgotten stories of the soldiers who fought in the fighting retreat to Dunkirk.

Story

This January, brother and sister duo, Kate and Jonathan MacDonald will be taking on the Tommy 10,000 Step Challenge to raise vital funds for Royal British Legion Industries (RBLI). However this is not ordinary step challenge: 10,000 steps, over 31 days, will total 155 miles, which is the distance travelled by our Tommy's during the fighting retreat to Dunkirk. We will also be doing this weighted, carrying an 80lb pack on each walk which is the weight which those men carried during the retreat to Dunkirk.

We will be taking on 155 miles this January to remember them.

RBLI help veterans and their families in their time of need and provide crucial accommodation, welfare andemployment support to injured veterans and people with disabilities. Right now for every person they help, theres one they cant and that's why they need our support.  Please sponsor us as we strive to meet our target, a total of 310 weighted miles in 30 days.
