Story
At the start of the year, we set ourselves the challenge of running 1,000 miles (Kate) and 300 miles (Grace) by 31st December 2022 and we'd love your help to keep us going and to support a great cause!
We're running to raise £1,000 for the Anti-Bullying Alliance (part of the National Children's Bureau), a very worthy charity working hard to stop bullying and create safer environments in which children and young people can live, grow, play and learn.
Among a whole host of projects, the Anti-Bullying Alliance co-ordinates the annual Anti-Bullying Week, a massive campaign throughout schools and workplaces to raise awareness of bullying and this year's theme encourages everyone to 'Reach Out' if they're being bullied, seeing bullying happen or indeed wish to change their own behaviour.
The week kicks off with the very popular Odd Socks Day in conjunction with and supported by our favourite band, Andy and the Odd Socks. Schools everywhere are encouraged to wear odd socks to show and celebrate that we're all unique!
Grace and I constantly embrace this message and we are wearing our fanciest odd socks throughout this challenge so keep an eye out for us!
You can find out more about the ABA's wonderful work here: https://anti-bullyingalliance.org.uk/
We're so grateful for any donations made towards our target - and also for a cheery wave if you see us out pounding the pavements or at any events!
Thank you for your kind support and generosity along the way and for helping to put a stop to bullying. 🙏
Kate and Grace xx
